Historic Beetle display

HistoricFrom small beginnings way back in 1976 the Historic Beetle Display has always been at the heart of the Stanford Hall Event. Initially only open to Split-Window Beetles and Kubelwagens, the display was further extended to include all Oval Window models in 1993. (Those built before August 1957). The 2011 display sees a further extension to allow all Beetles built prior to the introduction of the thirty four horse power models in August 1960. When then Oval models were added to the display in 1993 the newest cars were 36 years old. Now these pre 61 models are nearly all 50 years old 2011 seems a good year to include them.

All first time applications for the display and previous entrants’ with modified cars should send an up to date photo of the vehicle with the completed application form. (Paper digital copies or scans are fine).

HistoricAll display vehicles are admitted at the discretion of the display manager and his decision is final.

We regret that those who do not-pre book will have to pay the normal entry and will not be able to park with the display. Don’t worry if your car is not pristine we are happy to see daily users or restoration projects as long as they are not overtly modified or lowered.

Those who would like to enter the concours can still join the display as class 1 vehicles in the concours are contained within the display. As in previous years however you should also pre-book your concours place with the concours manager.

To register your car for the display, please complete the enclosed booking form and send it to:
