Stanford Hall 2009 - Sunday, 3rd May 2009
Now in its 33rd year, and seen by many as the Gem of the VW show season, the 2009 Stanford Hall event will take place on Sunday 3rd May 2009. For newcomers to the event, Stanford Hall is a stately home set in large grounds in open countryside on the South Leicestershire border. It is in the quiet village of Stanford-on-Avon, which is 5 miles south-east of Lutterworth, and 2 miles east of Swinford. Seen by many as one of the shining examples of the show-season, this is a very relaxed show which is also family friendly.
Highlights
Concours d'Elegance
The Concours d'Elegance is said by many to be the best in the country, with seventeen classes this year, catering for the whole Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche range, plus a Superclass for all of last year's class winners.
Trading
This is a major part of the Stanford Hall event, with over 100 traders present last year, catering for most of your VW/Audi needs, from that elusive part you've been looking for for months, through service items and books, memorabilia and models to owner's club stands.
After several years of success we once again welcome a traditional line up of Historic Volkswagens and displays put on by a number of Specialist Car Clubs.
Catering
There are a number of catering stands on site ranging from doughnuts, burgers, through to traditional fish & chips. Or you could try a leisurely visit to Stanford Hall's own tea rooms.
Cars for Sale
Are you thinking of buying or selling a used VAG car?
Then the Cars for Sale area is a must visit location!
Buying or browsing, there's sure to be a large selection to choose from. The Cars for Sale area has gone from strength to strength, with more and more cars on offer each year!
With over 10,000 visitors to Stanford Hall last year, this area must be the cheapest way of advertising your car. Just turn up on the day and £10.00 is all that it will cost you to display your car for sale. Advance booking is not necessary.
Directions
For those of you coming by motorway, Stanford Hall is signposted from Junctions 18 and 20 of the M1, and Junction 1 of the M6. Stanford Hall can also be approached from the A14.
Admission
Admission to this year's event is £7.00 for adults and £1.00 for children, please note that this does not cover admission to the house. Dogs are allowed, but MUST be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
Camping
Please note that Stanford Hall is a one day event, however, Saturday Night Camping is now available if pre-booked. Please see the specific camping information page, and booking form.
